I am a Seattle-based artist with Midwest roots who loves to explore. I make art about landscapes that are dear to me, expressing a sense of place through texture, color and light. I want my painting to push past the representation of a place to the representation of the feeling of a place. A sharp windswept coastline, parched bright prairies, and damp fragrant stands of trees- I draw inspiration from field sketches and original images to create my work in acrylic, while my watercolor practice is a mix of studio and plein air creations.
When I am not in the studio or out in the field I love to run, play board games, hang out in Seattle’s many breweries, and create hand-illustrated cards for friends and family.
Let’s talk about how my artwork could contribute to your space. To contact me regarding availability and commissions you can reach out by clicking the "Contact Me" link!
